Terms of Service

1. Who may use the Site

You may use the Site if you can form a binding contract with us and are not prohibited from using online services under applicable law. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

The Site is intended for a general audience interested in developer tools and is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher digital-consent age in your region).

2. The service we provide

We provide informational comparison pages, category guides, tool directory listings, and related educational content about AI developer tools. Features may include programmatic page generation, language switching, advertising, and outbound links (including affiliate links).

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time, with or without notice, including changing URLs, comparison data, or available languages.

3. No account requirement (currently)

Browsing the Site does not currently require creating an account. If we later offer accounts, newsletters, or saved preferences, additional terms may apply and will be presented at signup.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Site. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation:

• Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-downloading content in a way that overloads or harms our infrastructure, except as allowed by robots.txt or written permission.
• Attempting to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site, or breach security or authentication measures.
• Interfering with ads, analytics, consent mechanisms, or other Site functionality.
• Using the Site to distribute malware, spam, or unlawful content.
• Misrepresenting affiliation with Compare AI Dev or any tool vendor.
• Using Site content to train competing commercial datasets where prohibited by law or these Terms, beyond ordinary personal/reference use and fair-dealing / fair-use exceptions that may apply in your jurisdiction.
• Violating any applicable law, including export controls, intellectual-property law, and privacy law.

5. Intellectual property

The Site’s original compilation, selection, arrangement, text, design, logos (excluding third-party marks), and software are owned by Compare AI Dev or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws.

Third-party product names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and comparison only.

We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the Site for personal or internal business informational purposes. You may not copy, republish, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit Site content as a competing comparison product without our prior written consent, except to the extent mandatory law allows.

6. Feedback

If you send ideas, corrections, or suggestions to support@compareaidev.com, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback to improve the Site without obligation to compensate you, to the extent permitted by law. You represent that you have the right to share the feedback you send.

7. Third-party links, affiliates, and advertising

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and may display advertisements (including Google AdSense). Affiliate links may generate commissions for us as described in the Disclaimer.

We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices. Your dealings with advertisers and vendors are solely between you and them.

8. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COMPARE AI DEV AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US DIRECTLY FOR SITE ACCESS IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (IF ANY) OR (B) USD 50, TO THE EXTENT ENFORCEABLE.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law (for example, certain consumer rights or liability for fraud).

10. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Compare AI Dev and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party right.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information are described in the Privacy Policy, including disclosures about cookies, Google Analytics, and Google AdSense. Using the Site constitutes acknowledgment of that Policy.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or block access to the Site (including via technical measures) if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or if required by law. You may stop using the Site at any time.

Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, and governing law) will survive termination.

13. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice on the Site. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Site.

14. Governing law and disputes

Except where mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site operator principally resides / operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Courts in that jurisdiction shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any non-waivable rights you have to bring claims in your country of residence as a consumer.

15. International use

The Site may be accessible worldwide. You are responsible for compliance with local laws in your jurisdiction, including those relating to online content, advertising, consumer protection, and export controls. We make no representation that the Site is appropriate or available in every location.

16. Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Disclaimer (and any additional terms presented for a specific feature), constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede prior understandings on that subject.

Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of the Site.
